Energy Healing for the Pisces Cycle 2023
Ah Pisces… the final sign of the astrological year…

Emotional sensitivity, gracious, emotionally aware, empathetic, mystical, romantic, imaginative, spiritual
People born under the sign of Pisces are said to be imaginative and intuitive. They can also be big-hearted, encouraging, and supportive, flexible, and easy-going, visionaries and accepting. But they can also be avoidant, absent-minded, dishonest at times, overly emotional and sensitive, as well as gullible, impressionable, impractical, and dramatic.
Pisces is a mutable water sign. The modern ruler or planet of this sign is Neptune, and the traditional ruler is Jupiter. The attributes of these planets add to this sign’s symbolism of spirituality, imagination, and the collective consciousness/unconsciousness.

Your Way of Mystery
Our connection to the mass consciousness and the spiritual energy of the universe
Opposite to what everyone thinks they should do at the end of a calendar year; this is the best time to start setting goals and intentions for the new astrological year (which starts in late March with Aries). Now that the sleepy winter is coming to an end, this is the perfect time of the year to sit down and think about what your goals for the year are and how you will go about executing them.
This mutable (changeable) sign tends to be emotional and spiritual, instinctual, sympathetic, and empathetic, as well as responsive and caring.
I’d like to explore the attribute of spirituality and our understanding of our consciousness and unconsciousness under this sign that may need emotional healing.
Here are a few journal prompt ideas to get you started:
Am I comfortable with where I am spiritually? It does not matter what your beliefs may be—the word spirituality in this context is equal to whatever your beliefs and practices may be.
Are there areas of my spirituality where I would like to make some changes or experience some growth?
Are there spiritual beliefs that I have been holding onto because of tradition or my upbringing that could use some adjustment or that I can eliminate altogether because they no longer serve the person whom I have become or plan on becoming?
What areas of my life would benefit from snuggling a little closer to my spiritual beliefs?
Lots to unpack on this, isn’t there? I believe that is because we are traversing a period where everyone on the planet is experiencing an upheaval in their beliefs.
The point of this journaling exercise is to identify (a) where you are on your spiritual journey; (b) what adjustments are you looking to make on your spiritual development to feel more connected to your spirituality; and (c) the discovery of new avenues of spirituality that you would like to explore.
For me the answers are easy, I love to learn about new cultures and their beliefs. I love making connections between all the religions and belief systems and seeing how they all have one common thread, and that is love.
During Pisces season it is also easy to become disconnected from our bodies. Meaning that we are so focused on the outside world, or so focused on our headspace that we tend to ignore what’s going on inside in the physical body.
While it is a good time to connect with our spirituality and also to take advantage of this time to daydream and plan some new goals, it’s also important to stay rooted in our bodies so that we can be conscious of rather than overlook our physical needs.
During Pisces season author, Stephanie Gailing[1] writes that the areas of health to focus on are the feet, the immune and lymphatic systems, the pineal gland (also known as the Third-Eye chakra) which is known as the seat of our intuition.
She also recommends wellness treatments during this time are reflexology, hypnotherapy or Watsu. Watsu is a type of shiatsu massage that takes place in water, and you are floating. You can also practice meditation, go swimming or walking.
Grounding exercises such as walking in nature, barefoot if you can, is a great way to ground yourself during this dreamy period of the year. Third-eye activation meditations are also a good idea if you are interested in sharpening your intuitive skills. Anything that connects mind-body-spirit is great at this time.

I would be remiss if I didn’t say that during this time of deep change, we are all going through something. There is a lot of upheaval in the world and consequently in our lives. There is so much to learn about and discover, no matter what your beliefs may be. This is a great time to open yourself up and learn about something you’ve always been curious about or learn some new skill. Speaking spiritually, the “occult” is quickly becoming common knowledge. The literal meaning of the word occult is just "knowledge that is hidden." Things like energy healing or meditation that used to be considered occult are everywhere now. Everywhere I go I find people talking about some new healing technique they are learning for self-care, or some new meditation practice they are trying out to help manage their stress.
